High profile appointments - We have had a busy 2011, In February we were appointed to Culpeper UK Limited, which operated from eight retail outlets.
In May we were appointed to Selsdon Travel Limited, a £30m turnover business which traded as Dream ticket and in September to Pinnacle Travel Limited and BH Travel Services Limited further establishing our expertise in the Travel Industry.
We have just paid an initial dividend of 8.8p in the £1 to £5,000,000 worth of creditors of Descamps Limited, which Antony & Stephen we were appointed Administrators of last September.

Unfair Contract Terms - A recent High Court decision has implications for businesses which impose minimum contract terms and early termination charges on consumers. The Court found that certain standard terms in a company's gym membership contracts were unfair and contravened consumer legislation.
Businesses which use these types of contract should review their standard terms and business practices to make sure they are fair and comply with consumer protection legislation. Pinnacle Travel Limited trading as 2001 - a Ski Odyssey, Pinnacle and Pinnacle Travel has ceased trading. Antony Batty and Stephen Evans were appointed joint administrators on 14 September 2011. The company specialised in school packages to Europe and the USA.
Schools with flight inclusive bookings may be able to claim a refund and should visit the ATOL section of the CAA website at www.caa.co.uk for further details.
Schools who have booked anything other than a flight, or a package holiday which did not include a flight should contact the ABTA Claims team at claimsrequest@abta.co.uk or on 0845 330 6414.

- Appointed as Administrators of Law For All, a registered charity established to provide high quality advice and casework in social welfare law to poor and vulnerable people. Some professional staff have been retained in order to deal with the existing open cases on a strict priority basis, in order to minimise the impact on the clients retained. The Administrators are also liaising with the work providers to ensure that all of the cases are dealt with and transferred as expeditiously as possible.

- Appointed as Administrators to Selsdon Travel Limited, which traded as Dream Ticket. The Company sold mainly packaged holidays to the Far East and turning over approx. £28 million pa. Trading ceased immediately on appointment, the business & customer database has been sold.

- Appointed by Mysis PLC to wind up a large number of solvent dormant subsidiary companies.

- Appointed as Administrators of Raindance Film Festivals Limited, a company which provides film industry training to students and runs an annual independent film festival. The business is being run under licence which negotiations with interested parties continue.

- CVA approved by creditors of Azure Natural Energy Systems Limited, a designer and installer of heating & cooling systems.
- 2nd March
- CVA approved by creditors of Transact Engineering Limited, a specialist goods and material handling equipment manufacturer.
- 23rd February
- Appointed as Administrators to Culpeper UK Limited, which sold natural & aromatherapy products from eight retail stores and a head office based in the Cotswolds. The business originated from 1927. All the retail outlets were closed following a closing down sale. The web business and trading names were sold.
2011 NEWS
- 17th December
- Appointed as Administrators to Uno Holdings Limited, a national firm of shop fitters based in Stoke on Trent. Uno employed 50 people and had an annual turnover of around £5 million. No buyer was found for the business, the assets were sold by auction.
