This month we are shining the spotlight on one of our colleagues, Lucy Green, a case administrator who is based at our Abingdon office, along with our team of Licensed Insolvency Practitioners and Insolvency Managers
We asked Lucy to answer some questions, including what got her into the Insolvency profession, what she particularly enjoys about Insolvency, and of course, we also asked her what she enjoys in her spare time away from Insolvency.

What got you into the Insolvency Profession? What do you enjoy about Insolvency?
“Last year Lawrence King, a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner at Antony Batty & Co Thames Valley, messaged me to ask if I fancied a change of career; the message could not have come at a better time as I was not enjoying the job that I was in but was unsure what I wanted to do.
It became clear quite quickly that the structure and form of insolvency suited my work style and my background in audit proved valuable in being able to review and investigate accounts. Unlike being in audit and accounts, where the clients are the same each year, insolvency continually brings new cases to work on, which means no two weeks at work are the same.”

Past career, and experience
“I originally trained as a Charted Accountant in Oxford, which is where I met Lawrence King almost 10 years ago. After spending five years within the audit department, I moved to become a Company Accountant, a job I stayed in for another five years before Lawrence contacted me to ask if I fancied a career change.”

Interesting facts about yourself, hobbies, interests
“My weekends are usually spent with a long dog walk in the morning, followed by having a cuddle with my pup on the sofa with a good book.”
