Besa Mustafa joined us in June 2024, when we merged with B & C Associates. Besa is a Senior Insolvency Administrator and is based at our London Mill Hill office.
We asked her to answer some questions, including what got her into the insolvency profession, what she particularly enjoys about insolvency, and of course we also asked her what she enjoys in her spare time away from insolvency.

What do you enjoy about insolvency? What got you into the profession?
“My journey began as an office assistant at a mid-sized firm of insolvency practitioners. Eager to expand my skills, I completed a legal secretarial course and quickly transitioned into a secretarial role. Working closely with the partners, I became fascinated by the diverse insolvency procedures available in England. So, the moment an opportunity opened up in the administrators’ team, I jumped at it—and looking back, it feels like a lifetime ago!”

Insolvency experience? Interesting cases you dealt with?
“Over the years, I have handled a wide range of insolvency cases, from a large group of Creditors Voluntary Liquidations to individual businesses across industries such as restaurants, event organisers, consultancy, construction, retail, investment firms, and even cosmetic surgeries. Each case has been a learning experience, helping me build a strong foundation in the field. Now, I am part of an incredible team at Antony Batty & Company, where I continue to grow, share my expertise, and expand my knowledge.”

Interesting facts about yourself, Hobbies, interests.
“Outside of work, I love hitting the open road! My family and I often embark on road trips across Europe, with Kosovo as our final stop—a perfect chance to unwind and spend quality time with loved ones.”
