Besa originates from Kosovo and was a key part of the B&C Associates’ team, where she spent 19 years, before moving over to Antony Batty & Company in June 2024.
Before working in insolvency, Besa worked in the NHS as an interpreter in Albanian. She started at B&C Associates as an office assistant and secretary but grabbed the opportunity to train to assist the administrators, and in 2012 she passed the CPI (Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency) examinations.
During her time in insolvency, Besa has become an expert in Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, liaising with directors and professional intermediaries in ensuring smooth appointments and then working the cases.
Besa is excited about the future with Antony Batty & Company and is looking forward to broadening her experience into other insolvency procedures. She brings with her a positive attitude and a strong desire to help.
Away from work, Besa is a busy mum with young teenagers – a set of twins – which means she does everything twice, sometimes at the same time. And because she’s multilingual, she’s mastered the art of praising and gently re-harnessing her children’s energies in two languages, leaving her bemused when neither language is understood!
Besa has got a black belt in Shotokan karate and enjoys swimming and spending time with family and friends.
