James is based at Antony Batty Salisbury. He began his insolvency career in the late 1990s, making the move from a private limited company to professional practice. After passing the JIEB examinations in 2007, he moved to PwC and later to Grant Thornton LLP as an appointment taking Director. His most recent role before joining Antony Batty and Co in November 2023, was as a sole practitioner of a boutique Insolvency firm.
James has gained experience across a wide range of business sectors and has worked on large corporate insolvencies as well as owner managed businesses. His career highlights include acting as lead Administrator of the failed “Tesco Cars” venture and the restructuring of a cross channel freight shipping business headquartered in Jersey.
Joining the team at Antony Batty & Co, as the appointment taking Licensed Insolvency Practitioner for the Salisbury office, has fulfilled his desire to return to a role where he can contribute within a strong team environment that works together to achieve positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
