Rachel first started work at B&C Associates doing a holiday job whilst still in her teens, envelope stuffing and photocopying. This led to a permanent position and she worked for B&C for 16 years. She joined Antony Batty & Company in June 2024 when the two companies merged.
Rachel worked her way through the majority of jobs in the office from filing and listing records, through to studying and passing her Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency. (CPI), which has led to her current role of Senior Insolvency Administrator.
What Rachel enjoys about her job
The main reason Rachel enjoys insolvency is that she gets a real sense of accomplishment out of helping people. She says that each day is a different challenge and the work is incredibly varied and interesting.
Rachel comes from a large family who are mostly based in Ireland, with a few making it over the Irish Sea to live in the UK. At home Rachel lives with her daughter and cat.
Her current dream is to move to the countryside, as she has recently developed a love of walking and would enjoy spending her evenings and weekends in a calming space.
