Tom initially started off with an apprenticeship in accountancy and acquired his AAT levels 2, 3 and 4 taking just over a year.
After working in accountancy for almost 2 years, he was offered the chance to work at a newly founded insolvency firm in Cambridge, in 2013, splitting his days between accountancy and insolvency.
After a couple months, he was offered a full time job which he decided to take. Since then he has continued to work in the Insolvency industry, joining us here at Antony Batty London in 2018, dealing with a wide range of cases from bankruptcies to liquidations.
Here’s a bit more about Tom:
- Job Title – Insolvency Case Administrator
- What do you do at Antony Batty & Co? – Predominately deal with Creditor Voluntary Liquidations but have dealt with most insolvency types during my career.
- Do you have a favourite newspaper, blog? – Any newspaper will do as long as it has a puzzle section and a sports section.
- What do you do outside of work? – Outside of work I play in a five a side football team every week called the Flying Mongooses. I also enjoy playing games, both board and console, and trying new recipes when cooking or baking.
- Favourite holiday destination – This would have to be Japan. The culture, food and sights were amazing and I can’t wait until my next visit.
- Football team / Rugby team / whatever sports you support or follow – Lifelong Spurs fan which hasn’t always been easy but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
