We raised over £200 for Breast Cancer Now the research and care charity
We’re delighted to report that our teams at our Thames Valley and Bournemouth offices enjoyed themselves Wearing It Pink on 18th October 2024, and have raised over £200 so far to support Breast Cancer Now’s fundraising campaign.
We had a great time, with lots of people from the other offices on-site popping in to donate and have a chat. A really big thank you to everyone who donated.
Why we chose to support Breast Cancer Now
As Breast Cancer Now says,
“…breast cancer is still here. It’s still tearing apart the lives of families and it’s still taking the lives of the women we love on a heart-breaking scale.”
1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer but “we know that at least 1 in 4 breast cancers could be prevented and we want to find better ways to do this. But first, we need to know who is most at risk of breast cancer and what we can do to prevent them from developing the disease.”
Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people will wear it pink in their communities, schools or workplaces, to help make life-changing breast cancer research and support happen.
We’re delighted to have taken part and huge congratulations to everyone who has helped raise over £42 million for Breast Cancer Now’s work over the last 20 years.
