We raised £515 for Breast Cancer Now, the breast cancer research and care charity, in 2020. Let’s see if we can beat that this time!
All of our offices – that’s London, Bournemouth, Brentwood, Salisbury and Thames Valley– Wore it Pink on Friday 23rd October 2020 in support of the wonderful work that Breast Cancer Now does in raising funds to invest in Breast Cancer research. and for providing care to those suffering with it.
The Wear it Pink campaign has been going for 20 years now and has raised over £41 million in that time. An amazing achievement.
Why we will be Wearing it Pink again on October 18th 2024
As Breast Cancer Now says,
“…breast cancer is still here. It’s still tearing apart the lives of families and it’s still taking the lives of the women we love on a heart-breaking scale.”
1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer but “we know that at least 1 in 4 breast cancers could be prevented and we want to find better ways to do this. But first, we need to know who is most at risk of breast cancer and what we can do to prevent them from developing the disease.”
Elaine Wilkins from our Bournemouth office says:
“Cancer has affected me personally, and others who have worked at Antony Batty & Company since we started in 1997, and it will affect everyone in their lifetime whether it is a relative, friend or team-mate. It is vitally important to raise awareness of the importance of spotting the warning signs as early as possible, and to help raise the funds needed to achieve this.”

We’re delighted to be doing our bit, again, by Wearing it Pink on 18th October 2024, and are in the middle of planning exactly what we’re going to do. We’ll report back on how we get on.
In the meantime, good luck to Breast Cancer Now and here’s to another successful Wear it Pink day.
